City Market at O

City Market at O is a multifaceted residential project in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC. It’s located on the site of O Street Market (built 1881) and has adaptively reused the Gothic Revival building as a Giant Food. Part of the messaging strategy for this project involved conveying the scale, scope, and level of detail involved involved with the project: three unique residential brands, a hotel, retail, and a 360-degree visitor experience in which the pedestrian experience was totally reimagined with public art, landscaping, gathering spaces, and by moving vehicle loading zones underground.
